Fayda’s digital identification services have been consolidated into a single mobile application, which has now been launched.

Developed by the National Digital Identification Program Office, the application is now available to the public on both Android and iOS operating systems.

According to Abenezer Felleke, the Communication and Public Relations Officer of the National Digital Identification Program Office, the app allows users to immediately retrieve their lost or inaccessible Fayda numbers for various reasons.

Additionally, the official stated that the app enables users to obtain and download their digital identification in digital format.

The application has undergone various processes and has received certification from the Information Network Security Agency, ensuring its readiness for deployment.

During registration, users can correct any personal information errors directly on their phones without visiting a physical office. They can also update their address and email information as needed.

Abenezer Felleke explained that the app simplifies the process of obtaining a Fayda digital ID card, ordering card printing, providing feedback, and accessing customer service, making it user-friendly and convenient.

He also mentioned that this application, along with various customer portals, has been developed by experts from the National Digital Identification Program Office.

The official expressed pride in this achievement, stating that it represents a significant milestone for the institution.

The launch of the mobile app marks a major step forward in updating Fayda services, addressing customer complaints promptly, and improving accessibility for millions of residents.

In the future, the use of enhanced and modern technology will ensure that residents receive secure, efficient, and up-to-date services.

The Fayda digital identification system is a key focus of Ethiopia’s Digital Strategy 2025.

So far, 12 million citizens have registered to obtain digital identification, and efforts are underway to integrate services with various institutional systems for seamless operation.
