Ethiopia, Korea discuss bilateral development cooperation

Addis Ababa: April 26, 2014 (FBC) Ethiopia and the Republic of Korea have held a policy consultation meeting on bilateral development cooperation.

State Minister for Economic Cooperation, Sumerta Sewasew, said Korea's development assistance to Ethiopia has focused on transport and energy, rural development, health and sanitation, as well as education.

He said the Republic of Korea is a sustainable development partner of Ethiopia.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Ethiopia, Mr. Kang Sikohi, on his part said Ethiopia is an important friend of Korea.

According to the Ministry of Finance, 20 Korean private companies are engaged in various business and investment activities in Ethiopia.
