The African Development Fund (AfDB) has approved $ 5.5 million renewable energy assistance to four East African countries, including Ethiopia.
It is said that the approval of the institute will be used to implement the second phase of the project to provide electricity to the deserts of Ethiopia, Eritrea, Sudan and Djibouti.
He also said that the project, which will be used to implement the project to convert the desert into renewable energy, is aimed at supporting renewable energy activities in the desert areas of the country.
The project will include the study of a solar power plant, the construction of a power plant that will connect the two countries, and the construction of a high-voltage cable.
It will fill a gap in the region's renewable energy potential and contribute to climate change mitigation.
The infrastructure, which is said to be part of the East African Energy Project, is expected to generate 10 megawatts of electricity and reach more than 250 million people in 11 African countries by 2030, according to the African Development Bank.
