Ethiopian Space Science and Technology Institute unveils four technologies

The Ethiopian Space Science and Technology Institute has unveiled four technologies, including 3D Printer, Plant Weight, a 70-mm refractory telescope and a 200-mm telescope.

Experts from science and technology agencies and institutions of all regions and city administrations have been trained to develop technologies, ENA reported.

One of the trainees, Bethlehem Daniel from Sidama, said she will work to make a difference by sharing the knowledge gained with the students in the region.

Ethiopia signs MoU with European Business Forum

European Business Forum signs memorandum of understanding with Ethiopia

The agreement was signed by Ben DeParatre, Chairman of the European Business Forum in Ethiopia, and Semereta, Minister of State for Finance.

It is said that the MoU will enable the exchange of experience and consultation between the public and the private sector.

The State Minister said the Ethiopian government is keen to strengthen its long-term partnership with the European Business Forum.

He said the partnership should focus on enhancing private sector investment.

He said the government is focusing on building infrastructure, including logistics, capacity building, improving the regulatory framework and supporting the private sector.

European Business Forum Chairperson in Ethiopia, Ben DeParetre, on his part said the European Business Forum will work with the Ethiopian government to solve the problems of the private sector.

He said all products imported into the EU by EU member states have been tax-free and are being used by a number of Ethiopian-based companies.

The European Business Forum was established in 2012 by European-based investors in Ethiopia. According to the Ministry of Finance, the main purpose is to make Ethiopia the preferred destination for European investors.
