108 foreign journalists and filmmakers granted short-term filming permits - Media Authority

#Ethiopia The Ethiopian Media Authority has announced that it has granted short-term filming permits to 108 foreign journalists and filmmakers in the past six months.

The official also called on the public to prevent hate speech and false information in any case.

In the last six months, it has granted short-term filming permits to 108 journalists and filmmakers from 31 foreign media, film-making organizations and international institutions.

It was also stated that the license was given to make a documentary film about historical and natural heritage and cultural values, to interview government officials and famous athletes.

In addition, the official said that 31 foreign media and organizations who applied for permission to make news reports about current affairs and development activities had assessed whether they met the necessary requirements and granted short-term filming permits.

The official also announced that he is providing support to journalists and filmmakers who come to introduce historical and natural heritage, cultural values, political, economic and social situations to the world through reports and documentaries in cooperation with the relevant institutions, starting from giving them permission to move and work in different places.

He further stated that the official is making adequate preparations to provide the necessary services to foreign journalists and filmmakers who are coming to cover the christening ceremony and the African Union Summit.
