Federal Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed said that the situation in northern Ethiopia will end and peace will prevail.

He said this in his speech at the inauguration of the special talent development institute built in Burayu city.

In his speech, the Prime Minister said, "What is happening in northern Ethiopia will end, and Ethiopia will be at peace."

"We will not continue to fight like this," the Prime Minister said, "I hope that the time will come when we stand together to develop our Tigray brothers through peace and development."

In his speech, Prime Minister Dr. Abiy did not talk in detail about the way to end the war in northern Ethiopia and bring peace.

On October 24, 2015, it will be two years since the war started in northern Ethiopia.

This war has claimed many lives and displaced millions.

Due to the consequences of the war, it has become difficult for the residents of Tigray region and the citizens living in the bordering areas of Amhara and Afar regions to get basic services in the past several months.

Various peace efforts are being made to end the war, and a date has been set for peace talks to begin in South Africa between the Ethiopian government and the TPLF under the leadership of the African Union. The government has announced that it is committed to participating in the same peace talks.
