The followers of Islam and Christianity have jointly cleaned the abode of idols in Janmeda for the celebration of baptism and baptism which will be celebrated next Wednesday and Thursday.

During the cleaning program, the participants conveyed messages such as "togetherness and brotherhood for the glory of baptism, cleanliness and beauty for baptism" and "we will pick up our brooms and clean the abodes of the idols".

Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abebe, who started the cleanup program, said, "We are all here to make the festival brighter and show Ethiopia's image to the world."

"When we celebrate Eid al-Fitr at the stadium, all the churches cleaned, and we clean the place where baptism is celebrated because it is our common place," said Sheikh Sama Mohammed, who was represented by the Addis Ababa Islamic Affairs Council.

He added, "This festival is not only a religious festival; As it is the heritage and wealth of all of us, we will do our part to ensure that it is celebrated in peace," he said.
