Artists who gave up on music

There are hundreds of Ethiopian musicians. Some of them are from a background of a religious family. They developed their voice through church or other religious practices. 

Some of those singers have gave up on music and turn their attention back to their religion. The best example for this can be former artist Tibebu Workiye.

Tibebu was a famous singer before he said it is enough. But luckily he found it more comfortable to serve his creator. Tibebu is serving in a church as a brother. He teaches the words of God to Protestant religion followers. Some of those who attended his services admit he is really called for Gods service.

Individuals arrested for trying to defraud more than 1.5 million birr under the pretext of "multiplying money" have been arrested

Addis Ababa police say they are investigating individuals who tried to defraud more than 1.5 million birr under the pretext of "multiplying money".

The suspect, who is said to be "making money", was arrested yesterday in Bole Sub-City, Wole 13 Special Zone, Bole Sub-City, as he was preparing to commit the crime with his accomplice.

According to information obtained by the Addis Ababa Police during an investigation, the suspects allegedly paid 2 million birr to the suspects in connection with the alleged money laundering.

Out of the 2 million birr that the individual claimed to have given to them, 1,555,800 birr was seized during the search.

It is also said to have a large amount of paper, chemicals and printing presses cut into pieces.

According to information obtained from Addis Ababa Police, the suspects attempted to destroy the evidence when the police went to the so-called "money laundering" house to destroy the evidence.

The public is urged to exercise caution as counterfeit currency may spread throughout the market during the holiday season.
