New Ethiopian movie which made an agenda

A tax campaign forum is being held by the Revenue Authority of Dredawa.

Abdusalam Mohammed, Director General of the Dredawa Administration Revenue Authority, said that the platform of the movement is mainly aimed at enhancing citizens' participation in tax matters.

He said that taxes are the main basis for solving the problems of good governance and the development works that our people are asking for through the development works carried out by the administration.

He pointed out that in the past years, the institution has performed better by fulfilling the responsibilities given to it at a higher level. They indicated that a concerted effort will be made to complete the plan until the end of the fiscal year.

He also explained that adequate preparations have been made to modernize the tax collection system by improving the backward tax collection experience and taking lessons from the past.

The official stressed that the tax payers in the administration will fulfill their responsibilities by paying taxes voluntarily and honestly.

On his part, Mr. Sultan Ali, Head of Finance and Economic Development Office of the Dredawa administration, said that change is coming through the collection of the income generated by the economy. He said that a huge project is being built to answer the development demands of the citizens in both the city and the countryside, and that the business community should have the proper understanding and fulfill its responsibilities in order to achieve these goals.

He said that the participation of each of us in the tax collection process is important to further strengthen the development being recorded by the administration.

He also stated that the necessary educational and law enforcement activities will be given special attention so that the business system can be brought to justice.

Finally, it has been announced that the campaign platform will continue for 5 consecutive days, and they have called on level A taxpayers to complete their taxes on time until October 30/2015.

In the opening program of the movement, many invited religious leaders, elders, senior government officials and senior leaders of the revenue authority participated.
