He said they have been able to cope with the current cost of living as they are benefiting from the development of the sector by selling their products at affordable prices.

 

He said they have been able to improve their living conditions by renovating their homes with the proceeds from the sale of the product. Based on his experience, he recommended that he cultivate his own garden, even in the smallest of places.

Fikret Kebede, for her part, said she raises her family in her yard and feeds her family.

 

He said he will sell up to 100 liters of milk a day from his dairy cows with their four children and seven youths who have created jobs.

 

By doing this I am benefiting the local community, me and my family; With the profit I made, I was able to buy two trucks and teach my children, ”she said.

He said the cost of living could alleviate the cost of living if all of them were engaged in urban agriculture in the open field.

According to Leta Bedada, the state prison commissioner, the Prisons Commission of the state government has been using the institution and the community for many years.

 

He said the commission is developing and rehabilitating the prisoner by involving them in the development.

 

Another resident, Mohamed Ibrahim, said: They are engaged in urban agriculture, horticulture and earning up to 250,000 birr in one round. They were able to make a living by themselves and their families.

 

This experience is important, he said, adding that others in the sector can increase their income.
