Harari State announces plans to plant 3.2 million seedlings in 2014

 The Harari Regional State Agriculture and Natural Resources Development Bureau announced that it is planning to plant 3.2 million seedlings in the 2014 green season.

Harar Regional State Deputy Chief of Staff and Head of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Development Bureau, Ms. Misra Abdalla, told Fana Broadcasting Corporation that 2 million seedlings have been prepared so far.

Out of the 3.2 million seedlings planned to be planted in the state, 960,000 will be forested and 2.4 million will be used for food security.

According to the Bureau of Agriculture and Natural Resources Development, 11.7 million seedlings have been planted in Harari State over the past three years.
