It has been stated that livestock insurance or insurance sales are benefiting pastoralists and semi-pastoralists. 

Under the Ministry of Agriculture's Pastoral Risk Reduction and Inclusive Economic Value Improvement Project, the training of trainers is being conducted in Adama regarding the provision of animal insurance services.  

It has been stated that the sale of animal insurance or insurance will start from September 1 in the forum.

It was also mentioned that this livestock insurance has not been implemented in 5 regions where pastoralists and semi-pastoralists are present.  

The sale of insurance is said to benefit these areas affected by climate change. 

This pastoral risk reduction and inclusive economic value improvement project will be implemented in 187 districts where pastoralists are located in Ethiopia. 

The project will be supported by the World Bank with 115 million dollars, of which 45 million dollars will be allocated for animal insurance. 

Minister of State for Agriculture, Dr. Fikru Gesa; He said that 140 thousand pastoralists and semi-pastoralists have taken livestock insurance.

The Minister of State mentioned that 112 million Birr has been paid in advance.
