Which of my points do you find most challenging when it comes to travel throughout Ethiopia?

In Lalibela, children gather around the pan and whistle to make rye bread. I have never experienced such a thing in any other country. Teff is eaten, and when it is baked, it is eye-catching. Oats, on the other hand, contain gluten and are harder to digest. As a result, whistles are created and the eye is exposed.

 

Have you ever noticed that your food tastes bad?

 

Wait, if it tastes bad now; You mean, like, saltines and their ilk, eh? (Laughter) . . But I'm lucky I have never experienced this.

 

What is your favorite food?

 

At different times, I like different foods, depending on how I feel. But I always enjoy raw meat.

 

What do you enjoy most about cooking?

 

I love the whole process. From input selection to cooking; In addition, I enjoy waiting for the guests to taste the food and comment or see what is on their faces.

 

What food do you cook for a loved one?

 

As a chef, you have a responsibility. You just have to be more discriminating with the help you render toward other people. But if I have any competition, What food do I impress? When I think about it, my specialty [is mastered] and I like 'Food' [seafood].

 

Do you remember the moment when you said you could cook a nice meal and you could become a chef?

 

I did not make the first day 'cooking' because it was 'delicious'. I did my undergraduate degree in visual arts. Then I went into the art of cooking. Wisdom can be expressed in many ways through canvas, sound, and performance. But food is better to reach more people. I was taken to a world-renowned school in France. It gave me a good foundation. My mother owns a restaurant called Antica, so I grew up close to the profession.

 

Whom do you remember from those who ate your food and admired you?

 

I went to New York for my book launch. There is a well-known magazine called Sever. I made straw there. The food was simple and shocking. Of all the food that was available, one loved the most.
