Addis Ababa, September 19 (WIC) - The Ministry of Industry is holding discussions with representatives of relevant trade unions and other stakeholders before the final draft of the Manufacturing Industry Policy is approved and published.

The Minister of Industry, Melaku Alebel, who was present at the meeting, said the forum was organized as it is the result of their own minds if the policy is approved by the owners of the sector.

Melaku added that the inputs made during the discussion will be part of the policy and will be submitted to the relevant government body for approval in the near future.

Finally, the participants said that the fact that the final draft of the industrial policy has been consulted before it is ready for publication indicates that the government is determined to change the sector.

1,254 people from Saudi Arabia have returned home in three flights today.

Efforts to repatriate Saudi nationals in a difficult situation have intensified, with 1,254 people returning home today.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 340 women, 154 children and 764 men were among the returnees.

Upon arrival at Bole International Airport, the returnees were welcomed by Ministry of Foreign Affairs staff.
