Benjamin Mendy is back to football

Addis Ababa, former Manchester City manager Benjamin Mendy has returned to football after court abuse.

Mendy, who is out of contract with Manchester City this summer, has reportedly signed for French Ligue 1 club Laurent a few days ago.

29-year-old left-back Benjamin Mendy has been away from football several times in relation to rape and was acquitted of the crime he was accused of in court last Friday.

It is remembered that the French defender was signed from Monaco to Manchester City for 52 million pounds as the world's most expensive defender in 2017.

Mendy was charged with six counts of rape and sexual assault last January and was acquitted at Chester City Court in England, BBC Sport reported.

Mendy won the Premier League title with City and was a member of the French national team that won the World Cup in Russia.
