Dr. Mulukun Haftu and 11 individuals who were suspected of serious corruption related to housing lots were charged.

Dr. Mulukun Haftu and 11 other individuals have been charged with serious corruption for allegedly failing to fulfill their responsibilities in the communal housing lot in Addis Ababa.

11 individuals, including Dr. Mulukun Haftu, who was the head of Addis Ababa's Technical Vocational Training and Technology Development Office, were accused of serious corruption for conducting government work in an inappropriate manner.

Among the defendants are Abraham Sermelo, Kumsa Tola and Mebratu Kidanemariam from the office headed by Dr. Mulukun, as well as Bayuleng Reta, Mikias Tolera and Yonas W. Giorgis from the Housing Administration.

The charges based on the individuals are conducting the work of the government in an inconvenient manner and using the power improperly, the crime of corruption as well as presenting the money obtained from crime under the guise of legality.
