Awash Bank has been named one of the best banks in the world by 2021.

New York-based Global Finance magazine has announced the 29th edition of the World and African Banks.

The election was conducted among banks in 150 countries and 36 African banks were selected.

Awash Bank is the only bank in Ethiopia.

This is very important for the bank, Awash Bank CEO Tsehai Shiferaw said in a statement.

Wealth growth, profitability and accessibility are among the criteria Awash Bank competes for.
