Famous TV presenter Danayit Mekbib got a surprise present from her long term boyfriend. The two are together since she started #time show on Kana TV.

The institutions agreed to update the public service payment system.

The Ministry of Innovation and Technology, the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia and MasterCard have agreed to update the public service payment system.

The companies have agreed to work together to modernize the online payment system, which will allow citizens accessing government services online to make digital payments using an e-service portal.

The agreement also supports the government's digital transformation plan by modernizing the payment system and creating an inclusive ecosystem in the payment system.

It is said that in the first phase of the application, members of the civil society organizations will be able to use the payment application option to issue and renew a license soon.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Bilete Molla, Minister of Innovation and Technology, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia;

Speaking on the occasion, Minister of Innovation and Technology, Dr. Bilete Molla, said, "Our effort is to free Ethiopia from the cost of cash printing and distribution and to implement the digital transformation strategy."

He said the development of innovative payment options in collaboration with companies such as MasterCard will also help create digital communication between citizens and the government.
