Chief of the Southern Nations, Nationalities and People's Region (SNNPR), Ristu Yirdaw, is visiting the Kerib Irrigation Project, which is being constructed at a cost of over 383.5 million birr.

The construction of the Kerib Irrigation Project, which is expected to cultivate 1660 hectares of land, has reached 62 percent.

During the visit, Ristu said the construction of the project was not carried out due to lack of budget, difficult terrain and shortage of raw materials.

He said the regional government is working hard for the success of the project.

According to information received from the Southern Nations, Nationalities and People's Region (SNNPR) Communication Affairs Bureau, the public has also called on the public to cooperate in the success of development projects in various areas.
