Minister of Mines, Engineer Takele Uma, said POSCO, a well-known Korean steel company, will support Ethiopia's plans to produce steel and steel products financially, professionally and technically.

At the invitation of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, he had a wide-ranging discussion with company officials and professionals who have come to provide technical support to the company.

He also said that POSCO will be part of the study team in accordance with the plan to produce iron ore by using iron ore.

He also announced on his social media page that he has started working with the Ministry of Mines to support the recent feasibility study, plant planting and human resource development.

1,083 Ethiopians return home from Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Women and Social Affairs announced that 1,083 Ethiopians have returned home from Saudi Arabia in three rounds of repatriation.

Of the returnees, 330 were women, 80 were children, and the remaining 673 were men.

The returnees were provided with the necessary support and care and taken to a designated accommodation.

It is stated that more than 8,500 Ethiopians have been repatriated so far.
