The 10th Tana Forum started

 The 10th Tana High Peace and Security Forum has started in Bahir Dar.

"Tana High Peace and Security Forum or Tana Forum" is one of the continental consultation forums established to strengthen the universal closeness and cooperation of the countries of the African continent.

The Tana Forum, which was established in 2002, was held for eight consecutive years in Bahir Dar and one year in Addis Ababa with the help of the Internet.

The 10th TANA High Level Peace and Security Forum was launched with the theme "Managing Security Threats; Building Resilience in Africa".

At the forum, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Demeke Mekon, Head of the Amhara Region Yelkal Kefale and former Prime Minister Haile Mariam Desalegn from Ethiopia; Lieutenant General Abdul Fatah Al Burhan from Sudan, Somalia's Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre; Jessica Rose, Vice President of Uganda; Amico reports that the former president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama and other former leaders were present.

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Musa Faki Mahamat, is expected to deliver an opening speech via the Internet. In the afternoon program, which lasts until the break, the former president of Ghana and chairman of the board of the Tana Forum, John Darmin Mahama, will present a report on the peace and security of the African continent to the participants of the forum.

It is expected that by tomorrow, October 6/2015, they will present alternative ideas to the policy makers and governments of the countries regarding the threats to peace and security in the continent.
