The Addis Ababa Land Tenure Registration and Information Agency announced that it is ready to register 21,436 properties and 40,625 condominiums in 25 selected zones in all sub-cities in the five months from April 5 to September 5.

In a statement issued today, Jamal Haj, Deputy Director General of the Land Verification and Address Section, said the details of the selected woredas, kebeles and settlements were published in the Addis Lisan newspaper, branch offices and social media of the institution from April 5 to April 10.

The agency does not provide any legal guarantees and protection for unregistered property, and urges landlords to make the necessary preparations within 10 consecutive working days beginning April 20, according to the program.

In connection with this, the agency said that no name transfer will be done for five months in order to avoid data discord in only the 25 selected districts.

The agency has registered more than 288,000 properties and condominiums in the last nine years, registering with the legal cadastre system.
