The Ministry of Health has announced that it is making changes in the health service based on prevention. However, it is said that the quality of health services is not being achieved fairly.

One of the main reasons for this is the lack of review of government and university hospitals, Dr. Tegene Regassa, Head of Public Relations and Communication at the Ministry of Health, told Bisrat Radio.

With this in mind, Dr. Feven Girma, Director of Partnership and Cooperation at the Ministry of Health, told Bisrat Radio that the directive needs to be revised to fill the gap created by the lack of review over the past 40 years.

The director said the review would take into account the needs of the community, adding that the process of providing free services to the underprivileged would continue.

In the process, it is said that the people in the formal economic sector will cover the cost of 45% of their own expenses.
