ABC and FDRE Ministry of Foreign Affairs sign agreement

The Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) and the FDRE Ministry of Foreign Affairs have signed an agreement to work together.

The agreement was signed by State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Birtukan Ayano, and Chief Executive Officer of the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation, Fisseha Yitagsu.

Under the agreement, a 30-minute weekly television program focusing on diplomacy will be developed and broadcast in collaboration with the two institutions.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Executive Officer, Fisseha Yitagesu, said ABC will work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to safeguard Ethiopia's national interest.

The channel, which will open in English, French, Arabic and other international languages, will help to promote Ethiopian diplomatic relations in a timely manner.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Birtukan Ayano, on his part said the agreement will enable the public to increase their awareness on foreign affairs by informing the ministry of its activities.

He said the fact that ABC is a broadcaster in various international languages ​​has made Ethiopian diplomacy more attractive to the outside world.
