Heineken handed over badges to the needy people's home in Harar and to the youth in the project called "Reach Ethiopia".

#Ethiopia Heineken/Harar Beer has completed the 5th round of house building program for the underprivileged in connection with Harer Beer's 40th anniversary celebration and handed over the keys of the houses to the residents of Harer city today in the presence of the regional head of administration Mr. Ordin Bedri.

This project called Derash benefited 34 families with 125 families. It was completed and handed over in two months.

Mr. Faqadu Beshah, who is the head of foreign and governmental affairs of Heineken Ethiopia Sustainability, said that the construction cost 25 million birr. For more than half a century, the houses have threatened the lives of the residents. 

Heineken Ethiopia has built and handed over 122 houses to the needy in the Derash project for the past four years in Addis Ababa's Kereyu Sefer, Kekefene, Saghkos and Aqaki areas.     

In addition, the job creation project bought ten badges for ten youths of the city and covered their driving license training costs and handed over the badges to the youths today. Three of them are family members who are included in the Derash housing project.   

Heineken carried out a sapling planting program with Hakim in the environmental protection project called Burqa. Apart from this, clean drinking water has been donated to residents and health facilities, as well as sports equipment to health groups.
