Christmas is a special day when the birth of Jesus Christ was announced, and the foundation of the Christian faith and teaching was laid. It is a festival celebrated with great splendor by the followers of his faith. The birth of Jesus Christ opened a new chapter of life for mankind, broke down the wall of hatred and built a bridge of love, taught unity instead of division, brotherhood instead of distance and separation, preached to live the truth and forgiveness, taught to share with those who don't have, fulfilled the promise given by the creator to all mankind through his son Jesus Christ. The covenant is a chapter.

This holiday is not only a day to remember the birth of Jesus Christ; By taking care of the victories we have achieved during his birth, by carrying out the teachings we have inherited, by performing good deeds, we should lay the foundation for our future today.

This year's Christmas is special because our country, Ethiopia, won the victory through the sacrifices of its children, faced internal and external challenges, and started a movement to provide a lasting solution to the security problem in the northern part of our country in a peaceful way.

The dawn of prosperity that has broken out for our country has not been hindered even for a moment by many challenges and is traveling with the hope of future Ethiopians and accompanied by victory. Especially in the social, political and economic sectors, the activities being carried out are recording brilliant results. We should strive for more victories by properly taking care of the many victories we have achieved and making full use of the development options we have.

The proliferation of problems may get an opportunity to hinder us from our goal, but it cannot stop us from our goal. Our enemies may dream to bring us to our knees, drive our unity and divide us, but they cannot make their dreams come true. We have been able to prove this with our close unity and commitment from yesterday to today. In order to make our vision a reality, just like yesterday, we must continue to strengthen our union and unity, unite in love, and live together in brotherhood.

I would like to convey my call to everyone to do their part to achieve the goal of the struggle started by publicizing the internal and external challenges that are a threat to our system and an obstacle to our prosperity journey, especially extremist attitudes and activities, as well as the bitter struggles started against theft and corrupt practices.
