In the Ogaden Basin, seven trillion feet of natural gas reserves have been confirmed

 Mines Ministry Engineer Takete Uma announced that the natural gas reserves in the Ogaden Basin in the southeastern part of Ethiopia have been confirmed by research to be seven trillion feet deep.

March 2014 to study the oil and natural gas reserves and economic feasibility in the Ogaden Basin. The American Dutch Swell and Associates Inc. company, which entered into a contract with the Ministry of Mines, released the study document today, Friday, August 20, 2014. Submitted to the Minister.

In this study, which is said to be the first in Ethiopia, it was found that the Ogaden basin's natural oil reserves, which were previously estimated to be two to three trillion feet deep, have increased by two to three times, Engineer Takele said.

"Previous Cubans did not tell us how much stock there is," the minister said, adding that the current study has provided international confirmation of the size of the stock. Engineer Takele added that previous studies about the stock were done by companies, but now the study done by the American company is of the government.
