 Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ato Demeke Mekonen said that giving the responsibility to Wolo University to make the Wolo Tertiary and Teaching Hospital a reality will give the opportunity for the work to be done with quality and better.

 

Federal and regional leaders and stakeholders, including Mr. Demeke Mekonen and Amhara Regional Governor Dr. Yelkal Kefalen, visited various infrastructure projects in Dese City.

 

During the visit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Demeke Mekonen reminded that the Wolo Tertiary and Teaching Hospital is a major project that has been laid as a foundation stone to build the participation of the people of Wolo and partners.

 

"However, the construction has been delayed due to various reasons," said Ato Demeke.

 

Ato Demeke pointed out that the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education have included the hospital in a national project to make the project a reality.

 

Mr. Demeke said, "We will try to provide the necessary support so that the construction of the hospital will not be delayed any longer."

 

Wolo University President Dr. Mengesha Ayene said, "We are working hard to make the tertiary and teaching hospital a reality. The federal government's support is also promising," he said.

 

He also stated that the delay in the project will create a good opportunity for it to be done at a better level with the help of modern technology.

 

The President said that the construction of the learning project is underway in the first phase of construction, and that 10 modern buildings are being completed here.

 

He pointed out that the main one and the tertiary hospital that will be built in the second phase; "A tender document has been prepared to start the construction work in a short period of time," he said.

 

Dr. Mengesha urged other federal and regional institutions including the Ministry of Finance to strengthen their support for the project to become a reality.

 

ESA reported that the top federal and regional leaders and stakeholders visited Desse Special Boarding School, Wolo Tersharina Teaching Hospital, Desse Manaheria and roads and bridges under construction.
