Addis Ababa Police Commission Public Relations Officer Deputy Commander Markos Tadese told Bisrat Radio and Television that 2 thousand 95 serious injuries were recorded in the city due to accidents in the 2016 fiscal year.

This shows that the number of traffic accidents in 2016 has increased by more than 1,000 compared to 2015. At the same time, there has been an increase in serious injuries. Deputy Commander Markos told us that the death rate has decreased by 10 compared to last year. He pointed out that the death of one person means many deaths for the family.
