The Commercial Bank of Kenya expressed its desire to work in Ethiopia's financial sector

Addis Ababa, October 17, Commercial Bank of Kenya expressed its interest in engaging in the country's financial sector following Ethiopia's decision to open up its financial sector to foreign investors.

A delegation of the bank's senior officials visited the Ethiopian Investment Commission.

According to the envoy, he recently appreciated the Ethiopian government's decision to open up the financial sector to foreign investors.

Following this, the Commercial Bank of Kenya is interested in participating in the financial sector in Ethiopia.

Temeseng Tilahun, Ethiopia's Deputy Commissioner of Investment, explained to the delegation the investment policies, recent economic reforms and the objective of opening up the financial sector to foreign investors.

Commercial Bank of Kenya has more than 125 years of experience in the banking sector and is operating in seven East African countries, according to the Commission's data.
