Center for African leaders in agriculture (CALA) is an institution that educates leaders in agriculture; He graduated 76 students from eight African countries, namely Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda; Among them, there are ten Ethiopians who completed their studies with high marks.

It is said that the 76 individuals selected from more than 1,000 applicants for this leadership training represent the agricultural leaders of the continent, and these leaders who lead the agricultural sector who graduated today are said to be 45% from government agencies in the 8 countries, 26% from the private sector and 29% from civil society.

The center's training is managed by the Alliance for a Green Solution in Africa (Agra); It was also pointed out at the forum that it will be led by the African Institute for Management Excellence (AMI) and Policy Link.

Dr. Agnes Kalibata, President of Agra, who attended the graduation ceremony, said, "The training will contribute greatly to the agricultural sector, especially food security."

He also stated that the program was given for 16 months focusing on cooperation and practical conditions so that the sustainable agriculture sector can be prioritized by the leaders so that they can be highly competitive.

The training is said to focus on enabling the leaders to develop their professional skills and experience and contribute to major programs to advance agricultural transformation.

The graduation ceremony was attended by senior government officials and senior management of AGRA; More than a hundred of Africa's leading agricultural experts attended.
