It is said that more than 8 thousand couples divorced in Addis Ababa in the fiscal year 2016

Civil Registration and Residency Service Agency, eight thousand nine hundred and forty-nine people divorced in the 2016 fiscal year, Addis Ababa Civil Registration and Residency Service Agency Executive Director Yonas Alemayehu told Bisrat Radio and Television.

In the fiscal year, the institution was able to provide birth registration and proof services to 364 thousand 894 residents with the help of technology in order to use information for legal, administrative and statistical purposes.  

He also added that 38 thousand 239 customers are also married. However, in terms of providing the service with quality, it is said that attention should be paid to increase the efficiency of service delivery as well as the performance, and it is said that many activities have been done to provide efficient and effective service supported by technology. 

Other works have been carried out in various institutions and they are working to reduce the abuse of users by building an efficient and transparent modern system in the fields of revenue, hospitals and health centers, civil registration and residency services, investment, land management and education.
