Addis Ababa Electric Power apologized for the worsening of the fire in the Flamingo area

It will be recalled that the Fire and Disaster Risk Management Commission has announced that the fire that broke out in Kirkos sub-city district 01 Flamingo area on Tuesday night has worsened due to the failure of the electricians to cut off the electricity immediately.

Bisrat Radio confirmed that the Commission and the officials of Addis Ababa Electric Power met today and reached a trust regarding the failure of the fire in Flamingo and the failure of electricity to be cut off quickly in the event of previous fires.

In particular, Addis Ababa Electricity Service's Head of Communication, Mr. Bekele, during his meeting with Bisrat Radio, said that when accidents like this happen, due to the fact that the electricity is not cut off quickly, the risk is increased and we apologize for that. They said they agreed to use it.

They said that activities will be done to start a radio line to connect the two institutions as soon as possible. It is recalled that Bisrat Radio reported that property worth 3.8 million birr was destroyed in a fire at computer and stationery stores in Flamingo area.
