Addis Ababa City Administration Office of Peace and Tranquility has stated that adequate preparations have been made for the peaceful celebration of the Demerara and Irecha festivals in Addis Ababa. 

The office held discussions with security and law enforcement structures regarding the celebration of the holidays.

In the discussion, Addis Ababa City Administration Peace and Security Bureau Head Lydia Girma; He announced that adequate arrangements have been made to celebrate the Demerara and Irecha festivals peacefully.

For this, peace and tranquility and law enforcement structures should fulfill their responsibility to celebrate the festival in a way that strengthens the solidarity of the people, he said.

He also said that religious and cultural festivals are a source of solidarity and cooperation between people. 

He also pointed out that the residents of the city should work in coordination with the security agencies so that the festivals of Cross Demera and Irecha can be celebrated with splendor and peace while preserving their religious and cultural traditions.

ESA reported that the head urged the society to continue its usual help and cooperation so that the holidays can be celebrated peacefully.
