The Immigration and Naturalization Service has revised its fee structure

Gosa Demsey, Deputy Director General of Immigration and Citizenship Services, told ETV that the price revision was made in accordance with Council of Ministers Decree No. 550/2024 in order to modernize the system of the institution and make it international standard.

Stating that the amendment was made in a way that benefited the institution and the country; In particular, they stated that there have been changes in discounts to encourage tourists to come.

He mentioned that another reason for the increase is the fact that the transaction of materials used for the execution of the service is in foreign currency.

In this regard, the director reminded that the institution has started implementing new procedures; They stated that this includes making changes to the e-passport service.

Stating that it is being worked on to come up with a different organization to address complaints related to service access and delivery; 4 in Addis Ababa, 10 more branches have been opened in the regions.
