#Ethiopia The Ministry of Tourism started providing training to revive the tourism activity in Tigray region

The Ministry of Tourism is providing training in the city of Mekele to revive and restart the tourism activity that was stopped due to the conflict in the northern part of the country in the Tigray region.

Speaking at the launch of the program, Tigray Region Culture and Tourism Bureau Head Atsaba Gebre Gdhihabher (Dr.) mentioned that this is the first time such a platform has been organized after the problems.

On his part, the Minister of Tourism, Mr. Selshi Girma, recalled that due to the conflict, the tourism activities of the region were completely stopped.

Members of the public who lived in the tourism sector expressed the importance of this platform and conveyed their message that the region should do a lot of activity and promotion work to make Ethiopians and tourists living in different worlds visit it during the holidays that will be celebrated from August 16.

The Minister of Tourism, Mr. Selesh Girma, and senior leaders, the head of the Regional Culture and Tourism Bureau, Dr. Atsbha Ge/Gdihabher, religious leaders, regional government officials and experts were present at the program.

Minister of Tourism, Ambassador Nasise Chali, Ato Selshi Girma (Ministry of State), Ethiopian Heritage Authority and Ethiopian Wildlife Protection Authority in Mekele, along with Tigray Region Interim Administration President Getachew Reda and officials of the Region's Culture and Tourism Bureau for the development of tourism, heritage and parks resources in the region. After discussing the current situation of promotion and the activities to be carried out in the future, a consensus was reached on the activities to be carried out at each level.
