The World Tourism Day, which is being celebrated for the 36th time in Ethiopia, has started to be celebrated in Addis Ababa with the theme "Tourism for Green Development - Green Development for Tourism".

Today, Addis Ababa Cross Square was officially opened in the presence of senior officials of the city administration and various stakeholders.

Dr. Hirut Kasau, Head of Addis Ababa Culture, Arts and Tourism Office, spoke on the occasion; He said that we should work together to make our potential tourism resources in the city a source of wealth.

In order to make Addis Ababa a major tourist destination city in the world, it should be our joint work to jointly develop and promote potential tourism resources.

He said that despite the great efforts being made by the government in developing tourism destinations in the capital, strong participation is expected, especially from the investors.
