The House of People's Representatives of Efederi has sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 83rd Victory Day.

In his message, the council said that yesterday, our mothers and fathers protected the freedom and territorial integrity of our country and handed it over to us with honor even by paying the precious sacrifice of their lives.

He said that we Ethiopians of today's generation are not only living telling the story we inherited from our forefathers, but we should make all the sacrifices the time demands and write our own history in the bright light.

Congratulations on the 83rd Victory Day of Ethiopian Patriots! We delivered!

The bravery of the Ethiopian people is known in history. Our country Ethiopia is a proud and respected country that has maintained its independence for thousands of years. She was able to maintain her independence and national unity by returning the foreign invaders who repeatedly attacked her with the universal sacrifices of her dear children.

Since the end of the 19th century, the European country, Italy, which had an unceasing desire to make Ethiopia its colony, fought hard against our ancestors in the Adwa War (1888 AD). He was able to fail because of the precious sacrifice of his blood and bones.

However, 40 years after the Adwa victory, the Fascist Italian government made extensive preparations for war and invaded Ethiopia again in 1928 to avenge Italy's defeat in the Adwa war and to invade Ethiopia by force.

He humiliated the people of Ethiopia and brought them to their knees by using modern weapons which are the result of the civilization of the western world and even using poison gas which is prohibited by international law.

For example, on February 12, 1929, in Addis Ababa alone, 30,000 Ethiopians were brutally beaten and stoned to death with shovels, truncheons, masons, hammers, sledgehammers, stones, and sticks. It has caused many to end up with their babies.

During the five years of Fascist Italy's occupation, Ethiopian mother and father patriots who bitterly hated colonialism and were ready to make any sacrifice for the love of the country gathered from all four directions and killed them wildly calling it "Dur Bete"; They roamed the ridges of every mountain and every hill without succumbing to any hardships and pains.

Therefore, our Ethiopian patriots, mothers and fathers, even by paying the precious sacrifice of their lives, have protected a proud and honorable independent country whose independence and territorial unity are protected, and have been able to pass it on to the next generation and to us today with honor.

Dear Ethiopians!

The bravery of the Ethiopian people is known throughout history. Therefore, in the inevitable war, Fascist Italy will enter the central state from the coast and be exposed to attack. And we went through it because we were overwhelmed by the trials of long civil wars.

But yesterday, our mothers and fathers protected our country's independence and territorial unity by paying the precious sacrifice of their lives and handed it over to us with honor. We Ethiopians of today's generation are not the only ones who live telling the story we inherited from our forefathers.

In order to free our country Ethiopia from poverty and backwardness and ensure the prosperity of its citizens, every patriotic Ethiopian should do his part by working hard in his field of work and leaving his mark.

We must abhor poverty and backwardness and destroy them together. The country that will change and that we train will pay attention to science and technology for creative works. When you can create a generation that can use technology; To make this a reality as a country, in many places, including our capital Addis Ababa, projects that pay attention to the development of science and technology and tourism are developing and achieving brilliant results.

The government is working to improve the lives of the citizens through the poor-oriented development works and the local economy sectors (tourism, agriculture, manufacturing industry, mining and information technology infrastructure) and the implementation of programs and projects are being worked on to achieve our country's efforts to get out of poverty.

Finally, by bitterly fighting and condemning the divisive narratives that challenge our national unity, national brotherhood and sisterhood; Rather, by promoting ideas and activities that strengthen collective narratives through a civilized political culture; The council would like to take this opportunity to convey a message that all Ethiopians should stand together with a sense of patriotism to uphold the unity of our country and respect for the national interest.
