Chinese President Xi Jinping gave a warm welcome to leaders attending the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative.

In his speech at the reception, the President said that the first ten years of the Belt and Road cooperation were strong and fruitful, and that they have seen revival.

Representatives of more than 140 countries and leaders and representatives of more than 30 international organizations attended the forum, and more than 4,000 participants were registered.

President Xi said that he will work with all participants to ensure common development and prosperity in a world that is undergoing dramatic changes, and to create a new blueprint for high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.

The president stated that the Belt and Road cooperation accelerates development, aims for mutual benefit and highlights hope, and asked the political leaders of this generation to make tireless efforts to ensure the best interests of the present and future generations, according to Xinhua news agency.

President Xi Jinping said that as long as we remain steadfast in our commitment to cooperation and common development, we will carry out new projects that reflect the spirit of the times through quality Belt and Road cooperation and create better opportunities for mankind through our joint efforts.
