Especially after the civil war in Somalia, it is a timeless fact that she has been making tireless efforts to provide humanitarian assistance and shelter to displaced citizens, facilitating, coordinating and supporting discussions to re-strengthen the existence of the Somali government.

In addition to this, beyond political efforts, our country Ethiopia has shown its boundless solidarity by shedding the blood of its precious children to ensure the peace and unity of Somalia.

Another truth that needs to be known is that the people of the Somali National Regional Government are building their country in order to make Ethiopia a reality, where their fair political, social and economic rights and interests are respected and sustainable peace and universal prosperity is guaranteed for all Ethiopians in the united national federal system that our country follows.

Despite this fact, we have been able to observe that the recent statements and speeches made by the President of Somalia are far from reality, do not fit the history of the two peoples' ties, deny the reality on the ground, and are against the good neighborliness and common interests of the people of the two countries.

The speeches of responsible politicians should always be fair and sustainable for the people of the region, strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood, and benefit the peace and stability of the Horn of Africa, where the Somali people are the main actors.

I would like to ask the elites and the entire people of Somalia to do your part to put an end to the actions and talks that are going against the lasting interests of the people of the region, and to strengthen the relationship between the two countries, whose future destiny is highly linked.
