The Ethiopian Meteorological Institute has announced that in the next two months of winter, areas that are the main rainy season will experience more than normal rainfall. 

The institute mentioned that the rainfall will be high in the next two months.

The forecast says that this amount of rain will be favorable for agricultural activities.  However, the director general of the institute said that the areas that are prone to floods and landslides should be very careful.

He said that the forecast shows that the next months of August and September will be suitable for farming and production. 

Areas prone to floods, soil erosion and landslides should be cautious, said the director general.

It has been stated that in the winter months of June and July, more than normal rainfall and distribution have been recorded in various areas.
