The hearing forum for the 2017 budget of the federal budget offices has started

Addis Ababa, April 24, 2016 (FBC) The 2017 budget hearing forum of the federal budget offices has started today.

Minister of Finance Ahmed Shide and State Minister of Finance Ayob Tekalen (Dr.) were present at the forum.

Ahmed Shide, who chaired the budget forum, said that the purpose of the 2017 budget is to implement the goals set in the 2016 to 2018 development and investment plan, which is part of the 10-year master development plan, and to ensure the government's fast, fair and sustainable development policy.

In today's first federal budget offices' 2017 budget hearing forum, the budgets of employment and skills, tourism, culture and sports as well as revenue ministers and their responsible budget offices were reviewed.

At the budget review forum, the budgeting offices were given professional advice by the experts of the Ministry of Finance, and they were directed by the Minister of Finance to adjust and present their 2017 budget based on the budget ceiling given to them in the next few days.

The information we received from the ministry indicates that more than 160 federal budget offices will present and review their 2017 budget in this budget hearing forum that will last until May 9/2016.
