An agreement has been reached to avoid occasional interruptions in the distribution of fuel from Djibouti's Horizon Terminal to Ethiopia.

The Minister of Federal Finance, Ahmed Shide, met with the country's delegation led by Djibouti's Minister of Energy, Mr. Younis Ali Gedi, at the Sheraton New Hotel.

 

The discussion was particularly focused on how the Horizon Terminal in Djibouti will strengthen fuel loading services for Ethiopia.

 

In this way, Horizon Terminal will streamline the services it provides to Ethiopia. According to the information of the Ministry of Finance, a discussion was held with the aim of preventing the interruption of fuel supply from time to time and ensuring that there is no gap.

 

In connection with this, in the efforts being made to connect Awash Depot with Djibouti Horizon Terminal by train, the old agreements were urgently reviewed by the technical committees appointed by both parties and reached a full agreement.

 

Officials of Horizon Terminal and Ethiopian Oil Supply Company, Prime Minister's Macroeconomic Adviser Ambassador Girma Bru and CEO of Ethiopian Investment Holding Dr. Brock Taye were present at the meeting.
