Sports facilities will be open for service

#Ethiopia Addis Ababa City Administration Youth and Sports Office announced that 24 sports facilities built in all sub-cities in Addis Ababa will be open for use from tomorrow through the sale of Adder Generation books and the government budget.

It will be remembered that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed recently finished reading the book "Additional Generation" and made the proceeds to be used for development works in different areas of Ethiopia.

The administration of Addis Abebeba city has been working to use the income from the sale of the book for the construction of sports facilities and children's playgrounds.

Addis Ababa City Administration Youth and Sports Bureau Head Lai Deje told ESA that various sports centers and children's playgrounds have been built in all sub-districts of Addis Ababa with the proceeds from the sale of the book.

Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abebe recalled that the construction was started three months ago.

According to this, seven of the 24 projects were built with income from the sale of books for the next generation, and the rest were built with the government's budget.

Among the sports facilities to be inaugurated are football, soccer, basketball, handball, tennis courts and children's playgrounds.

He also mentioned the inclusion of medium-sized stadiums where football matches are held, especially for youth and clubs, which will alleviate the lack of practice areas, said the head of the office.

He said that the role of the sports venues is important to create a generation that is fit physically, healthily and mentally.

He stated that since the sale of the book is still continuing, the work of making it open for service will continue in the future while completing the second round of projects.

It will be remembered that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in October of this year, in Arada sub-district of the capital city, commonly called "15 Meda", rebuilt the sports venue in a new form and opened it for service.
