Awal Arba, the head of state, called on the people of the Afar region to actively participate in the overnight green footprint program. 

The Head of Government has announced that the preparations for the one-night green footprint program in the region have been completed. 

He pointed out that concrete results have been recorded in the green footprint programs conducted in the region in the past years. 

He called upon the people of the region to actively participate in the one-night green footprint program to be held on August 17, 2016. 

It was also pointed out that a wide sapling planting campaign will be held in the region from 12 o'clock in the morning.
