Group of Seven (G-7) member countries were invited to invest in the agricultural sector in Ethiopia

#Ethiopia The Minister of Agriculture Girma Amente (Dr.) called on the member countries of the Group of Seven (G-7) to invest in the agricultural sector in Ethiopia.

A delegation led by the Minister of Agriculture Girma Amente (Dr.) is participating in the Agriculture Summit of the Group of Seven (G-7) Member States being held in Syracuse, Italy.

At the conference, the minister shared Ethiopia's experience in agricultural investment and pointed out that the country's agricultural policy is helping to use the potential in the sector.

The minister added that the country is achieving encouraging results especially in agricultural mechanization.

He also stated that the various agricultural initiatives initiated by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) have played a major role in the success of the sector.

He said that the initiative started to increase the cultivation of wheat has fully met the country's demand for wheat.

The minister called on the member countries of the Group of Seven (G-7) to realize the favorable conditions for agricultural investment in Ethiopia and invest in the sector.

He also explained that African countries should use the untapped potential of the continent to strengthen their cooperation to achieve food self-sufficiency.
