It was announced that an additional budget of more than 550 billion birr will be submitted to the House of Representatives

It is stated that preparations have been made for the approval of an additional budget of more than 550 billion birr for the 2017 fiscal year by the House of People's Representatives. 

State Minister of Finance Ayob Tekalin (Dr.) said that the Ministry of Finance will approve an additional budget for the 2017 fiscal year announced by the Federal Government.

The Minister of State has announced that 240 billion rupees will be used for social development from the additional budget to be approved. 

He also explained that when the government fully activates its macroeconomic policy, it is with the low-income citizens in mind.

In this way, he pointed out that the additional budget plays an important role in providing adequate subsidies to citizens who have a fixed income and are assisted by the developmental safety net. 

He also explained that the additional budget will be used for oil, fuel and drug subsidies to prevent risks that may occur during the implementation of the policy.

He also mentioned that the effort to cover national expenditure with own income will continue and the implementation of the policy has an important role in increasing the income capacity.

He pointed out that the income generated by the economy will be properly collected and used for various development projects.

It will be recalled that the 2017 federal government budget was approved by the House of Representatives as 971.2 billion birr.

ESA reported that the budget showed a growth of 21.1 percent compared to last year.
