Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abebe Pagumen has sent a message of thanks to the members of our heroic defense force on the occasion of 1st Volunteer Day.

Mayor Adanech said, "What virtue is greater than giving your life?" said Mayor Adanech, "giving your life voluntarily for your country Ethiopia in this difficult time, for us to go out and enter safely, to stand up for us, to continue for Ethiopia, to the members of our heroic defense force who are falling, we express our heartfelt gratitude." They forwarded.

"In your important role, today we are handing over 952 houses to our people who are looking for support. The city administration said, "This is the other front, which requires only virtue, not life."

 This year, by coordinating volunteers, we have done construction and renovation work on 8000 houses at a cost of 2.1 billion birr, and we have been able to carry out an important task that brings relief to 37,015 families, especially the elderly and disabled, and development initiatives.

The construction of 25 bread factories at a cost of more than 1 billion birr has been completed, and 106 shops have started providing services. Addis Ababa feeds more than 30,000 weak and needy people in 13 food centers per day.

By sharing meals, it was possible to reach 1,059,019 members of society during the year, which is 1,677,610,050 Birr in monetary terms. They also stated that work worth 7,834,252,588 birr has been done.

Finally, Mayor Adan sent a message saying, "Thank you to the volunteers who turned the darkness into light by responding positively to the call to do something good between the generations."
