Due to security problems and lack of spare parts, sugar factories have stopped production and due to lack of foreign exchange, there has been a shortage of sugar for the past few months.

It is said that in the efforts made to solve the problem, currently, Wenj, Omo 2 and 3 and Fincha sugar factories have started production.

Therefore, it has been stated that regions, city administrations and other institutions that use sugar will be able to get 25 percent of their quota for the next Christmas.

In addition to what is produced in the country, the import has also been purchased, and the information we received from the Ministry of Trade and Regional Communications indicates that it is possible to reach 100% of the distribution quota from next January and the current gap between supply and demand will be closed.
