China has promised to provide financial support of 400 million yuan to Ethiopia!

#Ethiopia Minister of Finance Ahmed Shide said that she has promised to provide financial support of 400 million yuan to be used for the implementation of various projects in Ethiopia.

In the minister's explanation regarding the Ethio-China Economic Cooperation Summit; He stated that Ethiopia and China have a strategic relationship that will not change in the circumstances.

In their discussion, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) and President Xi Jinping indicated that they reached an agreement to further strengthen the international relations of the countries. 

President Xi Jinping said that Ethiopia's comprehensive macroeconomic reform by resisting international pressures and using its policy freedom has been highly appreciated.

Ato Ahmed Shide explained that the president appreciated the economic growth achieved by Ethiopia and that investors in China will be pressured to invest in Ethiopia. 

He mentioned that Ethiopia's debt transfer was brought up in the discussion. He noted that an agreement was reached for Ethiopia to be given a complete credit transfer based on the common framework of the Group of 20 member countries.

They also stated that they have supported a financial agreement of 400 million yuan to be used for the implementation of various projects in Ethiopia.

In general, the discussion was very successful and agreements were made to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and to work together in technology, artificial intelligence and manufacturing.

In addition, Mr. Ahmed Shide explained that he has advised on the situation of direct transactions that will enable the exchange of currencies Birr and Yuan in the two countries.
